Unable To Redeem Gifted Game

Hi! A friend of mine gifted me DBD and I keep getting the error 'Failure. An error occurred while installing AppID 0: Connection time out' - is anyone aware of how to fix this? I have cleared my cache, run as administrator and still not seeing the gift in the Steam app, and I get the error code when redeeming from my email.

1. Open Steam client and activate the gift via activate a product on Steam.
2. Enable Steam Guard and avoid recent account changes.
3. Clear Steam browser and download cache.
4. Check internet connection and firewall settings.
