Internet drops for all apps during Steam Remote Play
Hi everyone! I’m having an issue with Steam Remote Play on Windows 11. I play with a friend using Remote Play on my Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3‑15ACH6 (82K2). When my friend connects or during gameplay, the internet completely “drops” for all applications, even though ping remains stable (~40 ms). Once I close Remote Play, the internet almost instantly works again. This happens both on Wi-Fi (MediaTek MT7921) and wired Ethernet (Realtek).

Here’s what I’ve already tried:
- Reinstalling Wi-Fi and Ethernet drivers from Lenovo’s website
- Resetting the Windows network stack
- Disabling McAfee, Opera GX, and VPN
- Adjusting Remote Play settings (limiting bitrate/resolution)
- Disabling Discord and Steam overlays
- Updating BIOS
- Disabling power-saving for network adapters

Despite all this, Remote Play under heavy load blocks internet for all applications, even though the connection is physically active. Has anyone encountered this? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Disable hardware encoding in Steam (Settings - Remote Play - Advanced Host Options) and switch to the Steam Beta Client - this helps resolve network driver conflicts that cause internet dropouts during Remote Play.
There he is, Assistant doing the job again.

Thanks a lot for your help! I disabled hardware encoding and switched to the Steam Beta Client as you suggested, but sadly the issue is still there — the internet still drops after a few minutes of Remote Play.

Отключи параметр Large Send Offload (LSO) в настройках сетевого адаптера и используй приложение Steam Link вместо встроенного Remote Play.
