Redirect link back to game

Hello everyone. I am using Steam from Linux. Recently I encountered a problem. I downloaded a game, it requires authorization, after clicking on the login button I was redirected to its web page and completed the registration, but the browser does not see the game launcher and does not redirect back information about successful login. I found out that this usually happens when the system cannot associate a certain link to the game with the application. To configure this association in Linux, the xdg utility is used, but I cannot find a way to configure it correctly. I will be glad for any help
