i have a question, do you unlink the others device of your steam account?
if you do that, i think you need to change your pasword and manage steam guard in your movile and pc.
I have captures for help.
YW.
the accounts are all fake, they all are brand new accounts that have millions of pts. i reported some of them , but steam doesn't make it easy.
yes, i unlinked all my devices, I didn'/t see any unauthorized login attempts on my account. I changed my password. I do have my steam guard off my computer so i get updates for any logins, or purchases etc. I didn't receive anything.
Do i need to contact steam? I'm hoping that was the end of it, I appreciate the help.
I emailed them and attached a photo. Under my steam points history , at the very bottom it says total redeemed-10,000 all in red. When I click on view details it doesn't say anything. If I check gifts given out it has nothing there.
I'm wondering if the 40 emails were phising scheme? I don't know, it was all things of me giving people community awards, one of them wss like 4,000pts.
They didn't change my name or email or anything. I have steam guard enabled so maybe that's all they can do I hope without having my steam guard?
It ticks me off, as bored as I may get, I'd never think, let's steal someone steam pts .
Steam should be able to stop it when they see it all happened at the same time yesterday. Hopefully me changing my password will help. Thanks for the response.
Exactly brother, I've been a member over 15 years and don't think I've ever messed around with the pts ever. I only have like 600k pts.
The profiles that stole my pts were less then a year old and had millions of pts.
Steam shoukd be able to track stuff like that where I would raise red flags
Thanks for the response bro.
This is frustrating because that's my last money on my bank account and how long will I get a refund for this? PLS HELP.
Also, my picture here was changed to some Chinese texts and numbers with a QR code. I am Filipino and don't even know Chinese
Find out how you did that and stop doing that.
If you use third party trade sites, stop because they are all scams.
You could have also been phished and tricked into giving away your login info.
He gave away Steam Guard too?
When someone is attempting to Phish you, they will get everything they need from you to get into the account.
Even tricking you into disabling Steam Guard/Mobile Authenticator.
OP said that steam guard was on and not disabled.
The only security hole with Steam account security is the account owner.
The owner is supposed to be the only one who knows the account username and password and be the only one with access to the Steam Guard/Mobile Authenticator code.
I didn't give away my login information nor did i give away or turn off my steam guard authentication. My password and login was found on a data breach and sure enough that password was used for them to hack my discord as well.
I found a virus on my main gaming pc which probably was the culprit. I cleaned the system and changed all the passwords that had that same password and, knock on wood, so far it seems like things are OK.
I do not give out any information to anyone, I seen every type of scam possible during my 20 years in law enforcement.
