(Linux) EA App through Lutris or Steam can't see friends online

This issue has persisted for a month. I am able to play games online, but the friends list is unavailable on the EA App. I thought I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ something up on my EndeavourOS partition, but i've noticed the same happens on the Fedora partition on a fresh install. There have been multiple threads opened about this, but no one has a concrete fix for this issue. I'm forced to use Windows to play with games that connect to the EA App in the meantime. Has anyone found a solution they would like to share?
