Game not working for some reason
Hey! I just recently took a year break from playing anything steam or even using my PC. Today I decided to hop back on. I updated my computer, the game, etc but when I go to play a game it briefly shows the starting screen before turning black and shutting down (not in the task bar too). However, it still says its being played in steam. I've tried to do a lot of things to fix it like restarting steam in task manager and restarting my computer. Nothing works. I should probably try reinstalling steam but I'm scared it's gonna mess up all my mod packs that are attached to the game in the folder. Any help would be appreciated. Missing my games :(

Btw not sure if this is relevant (gonna read off the stickers on my laptop) but I'm on a Victus HP Gaming Laptop and intel i7 core (whatever that means LOL)

It may be that the install script failed, try clearing your download cache and verifying the integrity of your game files.

Clear Steam Download Cache
    https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/6AD7-820D-8BE5-E51F
  1. From your Steam Client, open the Settings panel by selecting "Steam > Settings" from the top left client menu.
  2. In the Settings panel, select the Downloads tab and you'll find the "Clear Cache" button.
  3. Then select "Confirm" to acknowledge this will clear your download cache and that you'll need to login to Steam again.
This process will not affect your currently installed games, but you will need to log into Steam afterwards.

Verify Integrity of Game Files
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335
  1. Restart your computer and launch Steam.
  2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
  3. Select the Installed Files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files button.
  4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

You sure you don't run games in ( Graphics (integrated, Intel Iris® Xe Graphics ) IGPU and not the Nvidia main card.
