Ubisoft account got hacked, so now I have a bunch of buy receipts that are worthless as proof that I'm the owner
Basically Title. I contacted Ubisoft support trying to claim back my account, provided Steam receipts from when I bought some games from Ubisoft, but they claimed it is not "enough evidence", even if new owner changed username and plays in a different region. Plus, I tried to make another Ubisoft Connect account but I can't link it to Steam now, because it forces me to log-in with an email I do not have (presumably whoever hacked it or bought the account). Is there any way to have my account back or to get a refund from Ubisoft games? Technically, I still have the license since I bought it in Steam, but I can't play it.

So what else does support need as proof of ownership? Maybe start there.

Contact ubiisoft. No one here can assist with Ubisoft account issues
Don't make new accounts, don't go trying link accounts to another. Go contact Ubisoft, you have your Steam receipts in your Steam account just go to Steam account details, and look into your history, you will find your Ubisoft games, and just click it, and it will show full details of that receipt. FYI to search fast in history page just press Ctrl + F this open a search bar, type in name of item, and it will scroll you to the item, and highlight it.

If you only bought games via Steam, then they can't complain as all your proof of ownership is on Steam receipts as they can't deny you. If you have a CD key on Steam that for old game, copy that key from Steam when view the game > click on cog icon > manage > show key then give them key they can't deny that either.

This is a problem with Ubisoft, and only they can help you get Ubisoft account back.

I already did that, presented it, and they told me to provide a new email to change my account into that email, just to then tell me in the next email they couldn't verify my identity and close my issue. At this point, I think it's an AI handling them. I have opened another one, but I am a bit hopeless
I don't understand why everybody is "adapting" AI for business purposes, It sure ain't there yet. I have never had a pleasant experience trying to converse with one to get a resolution they are supposed to be effective at.

A few days ago after getting nowhere with one for nearly a half hour, I asked it to get me an actual human to speak with... it promptly directed me to a support page for a cell phone company phone repair support website. Then closed the chat... and this was on a USPS website.

The problem is limitations being forced to prevent it from going off, or side track from it goal to helping. So basically in short the AI they got it to do is dumb.

When have full unrestricted AI it can be VERY different then have encounter, but not many places even offer it, and some of those places also place limitations. Example chatGPT despite what it is, the problem they force it to prevent topic of nsfw, hate, or etc topics if detected, which limit giving answers even if it doesn't fall in said topic the rules place it into those topic that set these limitations.

Anyways we're no where close to human like 1 to 1, but we're not far off either, the problem is needing better tech to improving, and solving problems, as well it needs a F-ing ton of space I joke you not, so unless got bill gates money no one going be doing this really lol.

Sounds like you are ready for our new Overlords. I’m not impressed at all.

Think of every ugly scenario you can and it will be ten times worse than all of them combined.

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you SHOULD.

Not dissing the response as it is humorous, just remember this thread when it comes to your local neighborhood. I expect by the end of the decade but probably a bit longer. I hope.
