steam not recognizing external hard drive
i read all post regarding this info and nothing helped i tried to go to settings downloads then library folders but the tab for library folders aint there i also tried to go to storage and add drive all it shows id c drive and d drive please help

External Hard Drives
External hard drives are not recommended for use with Steam or Steam's games. Aside from many potential performance issues, external hard drives may connect or disconnect from the computer at inopportune times as part of their normal operations. If you encounter this issue with an external drive, install Steam and your games to an internal drive instead.

Always use an assigned drive letter (instead of those temporary drive letters) when using external drives with Steam, it is better and fool-proof, tested and approved. :csd2smile:

all i use is the one that is the usb port letter
