Function key won't work in-game...

Hi! I recently got a new laptop and I've discovered that the home button no longer works in my game on this new one and it's kind of crucial for the game I'm playing.

On my old university laptop, the home button was it's own button and worked fine. On my new <gaming computer> (that I can no longer play games on :)), it doubles as the 7 key in the number pad. Normally, I have to hold down Fn to use these types of keys.

I've double checked the Fn lock. I've double checked the num lock. It doesn't work in the game at all.

I can only assume it's not working because the game doesn't allow for the use of the Fn keys? Which is disappointing to say the least. I've even tried messing around with in-game settings to see if I can make another key do the function of the home key, but no luck.

Short of buying an external keyboard all for the use of one key in this game, I'm not sure what to do at this point. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a work around that I'm not aware of?

Lots of laptops use dual-function FN keys and are defaulted to the non-FN-key function, like volume levels, brightness levels, wifi-toggle, etc. You'll either need to figure out how yours works, because they're all different, or as you said make use of an external keyboard.
