Steam Online/Invisible

When I launch Steam everytime it says I am invisble to others. I think this is something I set a few years ago, how do I change it so everytime steam loads it says I am online and visible to friends rather than invisible?

You just have to go to the "Friends" section (above the store) and there will appear several options, among them below it appears "online/invisible/offline) and you select what you want.

I know there's that option but for me if I choose online instead of invisible then shut down steam and reload steam it goes back to invisible as default so I have to choose online every time I love steam. I'm trying to find out why or how to fix it so steam is online every load up

Try checking the interface settings and see if you are not in the Steam beta or if it has the option for Steam to open when you turn on your computer. You could disable it and check if it does not work. You could check if there is something in the family that is limiting it. If none of that works, uninstall Steam without deleting the games.

I am in steam beta but because sometimes I use steam recorder. I cant see that effecting the invisible every time
