Hey im pretty new to steam i just got a pc this year and i just want to know what are some easy ways to get steam points, what should i buy with them, and how do i make my profile look clean?

also i found out that i can buy cards to make badges

You get Steam points from buying games in the shop or getting awarded from others for good content. (buying games will be the main way)

You spend these points in the points shop, for emotes, backgrounds, profilepictures, whatever you want, its all cosmetics.

You can craft badges to level up your account, if you want to. The more levels you have, the more options for customization you get. (an additional showcase every 10 levels)
