Game's DRM
Hi, if on the main game's page isnt indicate that the game has a DRM, that mean 100% the game is DRM-FREE? Sometime i see on the right side of the main page of the game, the info about the type of DRM the game use, so if it is not reported that should mean its DRM-Free, right? Ty

Steam itself is a DRM and since most games on Steam require Steam to work at all, most games on Steam aren't DRM-free.

AFAIK yes.
From GOG's website

Owning the things you buy

We don't believe in controlling you and your games. Here, you won't be locked out of titles you paid for, or constantly asked to prove you own them - this is DRM-free gaming.

Of course the fact they state owning the things you buy will open a can of worms here.

Well u can download the game and play offline even if u delete ur gog account, so i think yes u own them lol, on this way gog games are 100% disconnected from ur account and gog app, the same as if u have bought the game phisical disc.

Put of curiosity, why would you want to delete your account?

I said it to indicate that u own ur games at 100%. Exactly as if u buy a physical game disc...

Here it usually devolves into an argument about the definition of own and intellectual property rights, with neither side willing to concede anything.

Some indie games, especially the more obscure ones, are available DRM-free on Steam if they're also on itch.io or GOG. Some games available on GOG use Denuvo on Steam. There's no real logic.

Note that Steam itself isnt' DRM and Steam does not enforce this upon developers

You are 100% able to incorporate literally every Steam feature under the sun and have a 100% DRM free game

Every Larian game ever made has every possible steam feature, and is 100% DRM free. You can download BG3, unisntall steam, and BG3 will run fine.

If you delete your GOG account, you by definition, release your rights to those games. At that point any games you have you stole. GOG can 'claim' whatever they want. You do not own games on GOG. You license them just like anywhere else. And GOG can revoke them when they have to, and you can release your rights to said licenses.

Your logic is the nonsense equivalent of "if I don't get caught then shoplifting is legal"

People really not be reading the TOS of GOG and assuming 'oh I can just steal stuff'

1.3 Also, when we're talking about games, in-game content, virtual items or currency or GOG videos or other content or services which you can purchase or access via GOG services, we’ll just call them “GOG games” or “GOG videos” respectively and when we talk about them all together they are “GOG content”.

2.1 We give you and other GOG users the personal right (known legally as a 'license') to use GOG services and to download, access and/or stream (depending on the content) and use GOG content. This license is for your personal use. We can stop or suspend this license in some situations, which are explained later on.

17.1 Your right to terminate the Agreement. You may terminate this Agreement at any time and without giving any reason by completely ceasing to use GOG services

Do not confuse "difficult to enforce" with "piracy is legal"
