Help! Quern: Undying Thoughts

Hey there, I am playing the puzzle game, Quern, Undying Thoughts, and I'm stuck. To let you know where I am, I made the tower in the central area, (the main square) lower so I can get inside it, I lowered it all the way and Now I'm underneath the island with no way back. Gemma, the green light character talked to me for a bit, and creeped me out again, then I came to the next puzzle, the box-light-spinning puzzle. The one where you have to put in the right code to light up and spin all the boxes. I've tried cheating, but it doesn't work. Does the combonation reset every game or something? I'm confused. Please help if you can. Have a nice day. :)
