DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument.
I just installed Marvel Rivals and updated my driver, but I keep getting this message and can't play. What do I do?

Seems like you need to upgrade your system. Although that's just a guess because you neglected to tell us anything about your system, besides you're getting an error.

You might also consider posting on the game's own forum. But they're going to ask you about your system too so you should get that information handy.

CPU, GPU and RAM at a minimum.

Older gpu's do not support it and this is what you will need to look at usually.

You have to have at least Windows 10 and a graphics card that supports WDDM 2.0 or higher to get DirectX 12.

If your graphics card is advertised to support DirectX 12, make sure you have the latest drivers.

How do I find that information?

So what I'm interpreting is that my card is outdated and I have to buy a new one to play the game?

The device manager tells you which graphics card you have. As for the Windows version (which is also a factor), that's something you really could know yourself.

Does your laptop have a dedicated GPU? If so, have you configured the game to use the performance GPU instead of the power saving GPU?

If the 6th Gen iGPU supports DirectX 12 it is very limited and you'd have terrible performance anyway.

The one my laptop uses is NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX960M so I suppose so? And no, I haven't configured the game, I didn't know i could do that

Get a refund. According to the product page, the minimum supported Nvidia GPU is the GeForce GTX 1060.

Ow.
Yeah, I would suggest making sure to read the minimum system requirements for a game you're looking to buy.

Several posts in the game's forum with other users reporting the same issue. Above seems like the one with the most traffic.

Thanks, I tried everything in the video on that thread but nothing worked, so I'm kinda cooked lol. So I think I need to get a new driver now?
