Game unavailable in current region
Hi everyone.

So, I got a situation on my hand. I recently moved to Europe (I lived in Brazil), and I used to buy games in Brazilian currency (Real) and I still do, but I decided to buy PAYDAY 3 in a famous key store in Brazil, "Nuuvem" in issue, because the game is cheaper.

However, after activating the key on my account I cannot play it, due to region restrictions.

My question is:

Are there any problems with using VPN to launch the game? Can I get banned for this?

Is there any solution for this?

Anyway, thanks!

Your store region has to match the actual region you are living in, Europe.

https://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement

You agree that you will not use IP proxying or other methods to disguise the place of your residence, whether to circumvent geographical restrictions on game content, to order or purchase at pricing not applicable to your geography, or for any other purpose. If you do this, Valve may terminate your access to your Account.

You can wait 90 days, after that any activated game in your library loses all region restrictions.
Using a VPN is not recommended because its against the Steam TOS and can get your account banned.

So it looks like I'm going to have to buy the game again. And I'm still going to have to DELETE it from my account, since I can't buy it because it says I already have the game.

That really sucks. Thanks anyway

That's what you get when you try to game the system. How much did you "save" by buying cheap?

You can wait 90 days for the restriction to be removed as noted in post #2.

Secondly you need to change your store region to Europe as you are no longer living in Brazil and use a local payment method, linked to an address in Europe, or at some point in time you store region will be forcibly changed as you are no longer living in Brazil.

Hey, I'm not trying to "game the system". I still buy and use my account in the Region that was created, which in this case is Brazil. I didn't switch to "buy the cheapest games", I still use the account in the Brazil region, as the payment method is easier and more practical for me, as I have a Brazilian debit card

Oh, well... Okay, like I said, this sucks. But there is nothing to be done. I'm not going to wait 3 months to be able to play. Thanks again.

Don't forget to change your store region.

I have to buy something to be able to change the store region. However, I can't buy the game again, will deleting the game from my account solve this problem?

Why not?

Because Steam won't let you buy a game a second time and instead offer to restore the game you already own instead.

People have abused regional pricings intended for low income customers. Therefore the 90 days wait.

You can remove the game from your account, but not the assigned license because that is required to be able to recover the earlier purchased game.

The game license is never truly removed from your account. It's just an advanced hide function.

Wow. I lost my words. This REALLY REALLY sucks. Is there any way for me to see this information? Or will the game simply be available to play one day? AND IF it will be available
