when making a shortcut for a game, steam makes it a notepad
when I want to create a shortcut on the desktop of a game it turns it into a notepad
how to fix this

Just to be clear, how are you trying to make it?

Are you saying that when you right-click the .exe in the games' directory and pick "Create shortcut" it instead creates a .txt file (or something similar that requires notepad) instead?

Rightclick the game's .exe make shortcut, in Steam directory common, cut that shortcut paste onto desktop.
