"Corrupt disk" again.
I'm having the obnoxious troling error again. This time I tried with TF2 as I wanted to update it.

I removed the custom stuff to avoid the corrupt disk. Refuses to do again and shows same erorr.

I tried to repair the library folder. Repaired and again. Same erorr.

I checked my disk in "CrystalDiskInfo" it shows it's fine and even in CMD it says it's fine and nothing shows anything bad.

Plus I'm using the main HDD (E:) as it has more space, than my second HDD (F:) to install the games.

Clearing download cache didn't helped at all. Outcome? Same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ error. Corrupt disk.

Seriously, did VALVe even double checked again with library downloads? Or is there something interfere? I don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ know.

Anyone have a solution how to fix it, besides just hoping different HDDs around? I don't want to see the same error if it's a damn bug ruining me to update the game.

this wall of text does nothing to describe your issue.

Explain exact reproduction steps leading up to the error step-by-step and post exactly the text that the error says.

I already explained issues why I'm having and I already explained in first paragrapth. And besides. This isn't even long wall of text.

Your explanation isn't good enough on a technical level and it's a mish mash of toxicity towards Valve without addressing your issue itself, plus what's the EXACT text of the error and how does it occur?

It's literally said "corrupt disk". What more do you need? I explained the solution to fix it and giving results.

It's literally something has to do with VALVe if none of these solutions I described helped me.

EDIT 15.07.2022 10:32 pm.
I didn't insulted VALVe as I just suspect they need to fix up library downloads. Just because I'm having an issue.

provide a screenshot of the error then? I doubt the only text in the prompt is "corrupt disk".

Here. If you think I'm trolling, then you're wrong.

Crystaldiskinfo is a nice program to use as preliminary checkup, but in no way should you take those results as "everything is fine".

First thing to always check is whether security programs are interfering. Whitelist the Steam folders in the anti-virus or disable it and try again.

The thing is that just because you have an issue, this certainly doesn't mean there is an issue on Valves side. It's quite the claim to just say Valve should fix something when it's not even established that the issue is on Valves side.

Now you're getting somewhere, and infact I know of someone who had this issue about 5 years ago. the solution is to go into your download settings in Steam, click Steam Library Folders, then in the 3 dots click that and press Repair Folder. Then try installing the game again.

You weren't very clear on where you were seeing "Corrupt disk" whether it was a pop-up or something else, that was all I needed to see to realize your issue, which is why reproduction steps do wonders in providing assistance.

Well I double checked everything on my disk. And it works fine. But explain me, why I can't continue update the game if it shows me "corrupt disk" everytime?

It's already whitelisted and ESET knows it's fine. Even disabling temporarily still shows me same error.

Read the 2nd paragraph about "Repair Folder" I said.

Did you uninstall it before repairing folder then reinstall it again? It won't work on the same download.

Yes. Even I did that, still shows me same error.
Another solution is to get rid of your downloading folder that has temp files if it has anything corrupt in there then it may be trying to reuse the same exact data in another download.
You can also run these commands in terminal/powershell as an Admin in order:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
chkdsk /r /f

If it actually is a harddrive/ssd problem and your hdd isn't dead then these should repair it.

Which exactly is temp file to get rid of it? I can't find it inside of "downloading".
