What does RDM Mean?

Before you say look it up on the google, my google is not working at the moment. So what does RDM mean? On a few servers in Gmod it said that I was RDM'ing and it was against the servers rules so pretty much all I know is that RDM means someones doing something bad on a server.

Many gmod servers are not deathmatch servers so randomly murdering people is not acceptable

Thanks this is the most helpfull. I was playing morbus where aliens can be disguized as people. One of them was watching me when I was going to go to bed. So I killed him. The games rules also clearly state that you cannot trust anyone. So does that still count as RDM'ing?

RDM is an acryonym for "random death match"

Also known as "team killing" in other games.

I was playing morbus where aliens can be disguized as people. One of them was watching me when I was going to go to bed. So I killed him.

Check the clock for the objective. If you have enough time, don't complete the objective. See if the other person does. If he goes for it, watch his back for aliens. After he is done, complete the objective yourself.

You should be able to hear aliens that are fairly close by.

This is true. However, once another human has completed an objective, they are confirmed as human, as long as you follow them around so they can't get turned into a brood, they are confirmed and can be trusted.

I play morbus almost exlusively on gmod right now.

Obviously the game mode has a certain theme.

It's very similar to TTT (trouble in terrorist town). In fact, it's pretty much the same thing, with a sci-fi twist and obviously the fact that you respawn as an alien with another alien kills you (where as in TTT mode, when you die, you're dead till the next round)

Basically, you NEVER shoot another human unless you are absolutely sure they are an alien.

Even if you are a brood alien, don't shoot humans while YOU are human. (go into brood mode (also known as "alien form" or whatever, in the list of weapons). You lose sanity and it's just pretty lame and not what the game mode was intended for.

When you are brood, you will see other people with a glowing color around them. Purple = other aliens. Green to red = humans. Green is healthy, yellow is hurt, red is severely hurt (and every color in between) - be sure to go after the hurt people first, since they will be easiest to kill.

As a swarm alien, be sure to get good with the right click (where you throw the green goo stuff). Swarm aliens can kill from far away. Use this to your advantage.

Yeah as I said this person was going watching me as I was going to bed. I decided I could not risk getting killed in such a cheap way so I killed him and it turned out he was a alien!
