Half my games showing small icons grid view.

Hello,

For about the past 2 weeks about half my library has the small icons when viewing games in grid view, it didn't used to be like this and I'm unsure what could have caused this. The other half of my library appears fine?

I know you can manually set the image now but I haven't messed with anything.

Also noticed the 2 games that used to have the small icons, 'Dota 2 test' and 'L4D 2 Beta' now have no icon at all?

Anyone have an idea why this has happened and how to get them back?

Having the same issue. Mine has gotten worse to the point that now most my games dont have images for grid view.

Yes really strange, when did yours start disappearing?

Not exactly sure but its been slowly losing the images for my games for a while.
The images in list mode seem to be fine though.

Same, all appear fine in list view.

I found if you delete the appcache directory and launch steam it will re-load all the images, but then they will quickly start to disapear as you scroll around or change categories. So issue is still outstanding for me as well.

Now all my icons are small in grid view. I'm not sure if I want to mess with Beta right now.

Thanks for the replies everyone, at least now we know it's not an issue at our end.

Edit - Just checked again and now about 90% have the small icons

Also having this issue - have deleted my httpcache folder 3x and restarted steam. When I go to grid view, it loads all the correct images until I scroll, then it reverts to icons.

Hey same here, actually I noticed that if you go into your steam/appcache/ ... and you delete the (httpcache folder, the appinfo.vdf and paccageinfo.vdf) and reset Steam the cache will re-download all of the images for you, but there's a weird catch .... once you scroll down through your list of games the second you go back up to the top all of your images disappear again ... there must be a bug in the new Steam update ...........
