Best bet would to just be give it away to one of your friends.
Shame, I was hoping to get it for something. I guess the free extra copy deal has sorta of run its course. Thanks for the help though. I really appreciate it.
For example, just yesterday, I purchased "Age of Empires III Complete Collection" on a Humblestore flash sale. Steam says it's €37, but I payed €3. So, what's the actual value? Steam sales also discount the price...
Also, Indie titles in particular like to show up in bundles, which is like an even better discount. Frozen Synapse has been in 3 bundles -- and I don't even know whether the site that collects the data really catches all of them.
SteamDB tells me my library is "worth" €2254.50 -- which is ridiculous. Doesn't include the aforementioned AoE yet, which probably adds the same €37 to that amount that I never payed.
Now, both sales and bundles don't mean much if someone wants the game "now", but it generally means that people that actually WANT the game probably have it already. And those that don't have it are unlikely to monitor all sorts of trade forums to see if someone offers a copy for trade.
Again, this my personal view -- which ends up being "forget about trading".
There's also the whole concept of "you need to have a gift of the game you want to use for trading" thingy. Trades only work if people have the other game sitting around as gifts, which generally isn't the case: why would I buy games just to store them in my inventory in case someone wants to trade for it on a later occasion?
