Memento Mori 2
When I try to start the game, my computer says "Nvidia PhysxLibrary not found or inactive". Can anyone help with this? Wanted to start playing today....won't have time after. My drivers are all updated. Thanks.

Hi, this happens to me. The way I fix it, go to the Steam folder where the games are, first choose steamapps tab, then common go to the game folder and choose _CommonRedist go to the Physx folder and click on the Installer to install it. That fix the problem for me and let me play. Close Steam before doing it so the game get the changes after you install it again.

It still says physx library cannot be read. I installed everything again and did what they said to do, but physx won't install on my computer. Never had trouble before and I cannot get into support to tell them cause it doesn't have the game or issue. Do you have any other ideas? Online, they say things, but are so technical that I am not sure what to do and I don't want to hurt my computer. Thanks.

Please send complete dxdiag report to support@bistudio.com and we will try to help you.

@vrmpls2:

If you don't know how to create a dxdiag report:
  • Open the Windows desktop (minimize all windows so that only the desktop is visible)
  • Press Win+R (Windows key and the R key) hotkey to open the Run window.
  • In the "Open:" field of the Run window, type "dxdiag" without quotes.
  • Click OK or the Enter key to open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
  • If prompted to check if your drivers are digitally signed, click Yes.
  • In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool window, click the "Save All Information" button.
  • In the "Save As" window information should be saved as a text (.txt) file.
  • Choose location where the file will be saved and press "Save" button.
  • It's easier to use accessible location like Desktop.

Getting an answer by the developers is probably the most promising way to solve the problem! :)

If you want to try something out while waiting for an answer:

Memento Mori 2 needs PhysX to be installed. PhysX is a kind of runtime library that can calculate physical reactions/movements and is used by a lot of games (not most games but a lot of games). The error message you get means that either there is an installed version of PhysX but it’s obsolete, there’s an installed version of PhysX but it’s defective or there’s no PhysX version installed.

The first thing you should try to do is simply try to install PhysX. If you can’t find it in the folder krystalao mentioned you can also download it here: Link[www.nvidia.co.uk]. When you have downloaded the file, rightclick on it and choose “install”. If this doesn’t work, please post exactly what doesn’t work and what error message appears.

So I uninstalled PhysX on my box, and then reinstalled it, the game is working now, BUT on every screen in the top left hang corner it has text that reads PhysX > CPU, how do I get rid of that?

@Altered_Confusion:
If you're using a video card with NVidia GPU you should disable the "Physx Visual Indicator" in the NVidia control panel. It I remember it correctly you can find it at here:
Nvidia Control Panel -> 3d Settings -> Show Physx Visual Indicator

I am having the same problem.....where is the Steamapps tab??? so I can follow the instructions given above

He probably wrote tab by mistake. He meant a folder. Go to your Steam installation folder. From there open the subfolders 'SteamApps' > 'common' > 'Memento Mori 2' > 'CommonRedist'. In that subfolder is an PhysX-file that starts the PhysX installer if you doubleclick on the file. Remember to uninstall any PhysX that is already installed first.
