You have logged in from a new device. In order to protect the items in your inventory, you will be unable to trade from this device for 7 days.
I just reinstalled the steam and logged in from my one and only laptop which i have been using and running steam since months, and this error popped up when i tried to trade..
What's this non-sense ?
Please unban me from trading, I have a lots of trades to be done.

This is a security feature to protect yourself, it won't be removed. There is no other way than waiting 7 days.

As you said you reinstalled Steam which deauthorized your computer from Steam Guard. That's why Steam Guard thinks you are on a new computer. There is nothing that you or we can do about it.

You're better off using a browser for trades and the market, than Steam Client.

I have the same problem too, even 5 days have been passed from now still the message "You have logged in from a new device. In order to protect the items in your inventory, you will be unable to trade from this device for 7 days." I only use my own laptop.

The "7 days" is not a countdown". 5 days have passed you still have to wait 2 more days.

The message can appear if you clear cookies, then after you clear cookies, you will have to input a code from your email into Steam Guard. That triggers the message.

But in my experience, if you get the message but are on a computer you have used before, it will go away after a few hours.

Yes it worked now :) Took like 40 mins or so, then I could trade as normal.

how do you clear a cookie actually ? i have the same problem about trading :(

Clearing your cookies is not a solution, it is the cause. Clearing them will not fix the issue, only make it last longer.

It varies depending on your browser, but you go into the settings of the browser and delete them.
