You can make a dedicated server with commands (Better)
Or standard vanilla server
For dedicated server go to TShock.co and go to "Download" then Download the latest Version
Then extract it into a new folder and open up TerrariaServer.exe or .bat
then select your world by typing 1, 2, 3 or 4 ... etc.
then for port type in 7878 ( 7777 deosnt seem to work)
then open terraria and type in "LocalHost" to join your own server or type in 127.0.0.1
for port use 7878 or the port you used for server
then join.
then go on google and type in "Whats My IP Address"
Doing this will tell you your public IP Address to give to your freinds so that they can join your server.
if you would like to join my Dedicated server join IP TerrariaNova.zapto.org
Port 7878
