Alienware

Should I buy Alienware 14 or Alienware X51? Which can run games on higher settings and doesnt heat up very fast

X51 is a desktop, and 14 is a laptop. It's up to you. Desktops will generally have higher power to cost ratio. Laptops are, obviously, portable. Gaming laptops are heavy, and in order to be used for gaming on high settings, need to be tethered to a power cable.

If you go Laptop, I'd recommend an ASUS Republic of Gamers over Alienware.

Either way, those are just model numbers, and are customizable.

If you're going to buy a desktop, I've been told it's cheaper to build one yourself. As far as laptops go Alienwares are top of the line. Ultimately its up to you!

I don't think Alienware is "top of the line" anymore (or... ever really). Alienware is just a Dell with a fancy case and a higher price tag.

ASUS makes top of the line laptops. ASUS is a quality parts manufacturer. If you want a gaming laptop, go ASUS.

It's true you can build your own laptop for less than it would cost to buy your own. But it does take a little technical skill and knowledge that many people don't have.
