Are Legit CD-Keys which are not listed in supported list?

There are some CD-Key resellers over there that are selling Steam CD-Key not listed in the supported list. So the question is are they legit? Can those be activated on Steam?

G2A for example, the opinions I read about them are good, that's why I have the doubt about the CD Keys of games not listed on the list like Pay Day 2

The list on the support page is about CD-keys that are NOT Steam-keys. Steam-keys are not listed there.

I don't know about "G2A" specifically, but there are "legitimate" shops such as Greenmangaming or the bundlesites, and there are other stores that are a bit more... "flexible" when it comes to taking your money and giving you something in return.

I'd avoid g2play. I've been ripped off by them (they sent a key that had already been used and refuse to send me another). £27 lost and I'm not too happy about it. Only myself to blame though (and the thievs at g2play)
I'd recommend more legitimate sites such as greenmangaming, gamefly and gamersgate. If you try buying from less legitimate places you run the risk of getting ripped off

g2play is not an authorized steam key reseller. Steam support will not assist you with any issues you get buying keys online.

I know that G2PLAY IS SCAM, but G2A it's a different website, it's a partner of PayPal you can see it here at the bottom:

So I think it's legit.

That list is barely even updated, I wouldn't use that as a reliable source. The only source that is most reliable is the vendor that sells the key. If they say it works on steam, it will work on steam. If there is no such indication, assume it won't work on steam.

Also if you bought a key from a third party, Valve/steam is not liable if the key doesn't work, you'll have to work it out with the vendor/person that sold you the key.
