Steam can't update my transactions or initialize it
So i was trying to purchase Dark souls 2 for myself, though the help of another person's credit card. I got to the point where steam had the payment on pending, but the one who was helping me pay for it decided to want to use another card, i cancelled it, went into my account settings and cancelled it, now dark souls 2 shows up as a failed transaction.

So far so good, i try again, but now after the fact, it shows me the error message "There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction", every single time i try to buy something or even try to add money to steam. What gives?

I cannot explain why it buggered up on you like that, but a few things that can sometimes correct purchasing problem such as this:

- If you're using the Steam client, try using a web browser, and vice-versa.
- Sometimes deleting everything in your Steam folder except for your Steam.exe and SteamApps folder can correct transaction problem in the client.
- Try an alternate payment method, if possible.
- Simply try waiting. There may be a problem on Valve's end.
- If none of the above work, contacting Steam Support should be your next step.
