Dark Souls 2 system requirements
Hi,

With Dark Souls 2 being released for PC and the school year coming to a close, I've been thinking more and more about this game. I plan on getting it, but I'm torn between PC or xbox. I would want to get it on PC, because I don't have xbox live and want to do multiplayer. However, I'm not sure if my laptop is powerful enough.

I'm on an ASUS with an Intel Core i7-3630QM, 8GB of RAM, and an nvidia GeForce GT 635 2GB graphics card. Is this enough to play it? My friend is running it fine on a similar machine but with nvidia GeForce GTX 660. He says that I'll be fine, because the GTX 660 isn't much better than GT 635, but I want some second opinions.

It SHOULD run, but you're likely going to have to turn a lot of graphics settings down low.

Also, the GTX 660 is far superior to the 635. In pure benchmarking scores, we're talking a 400% improvement.

Unlike your friend, I would say the GTX 660 IS much better than the GT 635.
I'm also concerned about long term damage to my computer caused by running too graphics-intensive games on my laptop. I had a macbook, and it had a lot of problems, which I contributed to WoW and Starcraft 2. Would this be a problem with ASUS?
