Steam new PC verification code not sending

I live in australia, and in the last few hours have tried to use my account with a couple PC's at a game den and the confirmation email for steam guard isn't showing in my inbox.

I logged back into my personal laptop that didn't need confirmation, checked my settings and my contact email is still the same, I used the change security question field which sends a code to your email to change your question and that code/email didn't show up in my inbox (the same one listed under contact email).

None of the security emails have shown up and I have been unable to confirm my legibility on any new PC/Browser that requires it.

I use a hotmail email address for steam verification, thought i would make a discussion specifically for this since the post i made was in one that was a bit to vague.

I got a pop up message in client that asked me to confirm my hotmail email address, the confirmation email again didn't show up, so i changed my contact email to my gmail account, and the email immediately showed up.

It would appear that there is currently issues with hotmail address verification letters.

Just to be sure, the emails are not being directed into a spam folder by any chance?

Same thing here, have been trying since last night still not receiving email from steam guard.

I'm not receiving them either and they aren't being sent to spam.

I'm having problems also with hotmail I had to uninstall steam and reinstall it and now I can't access my main account since it uses hotmail. I have tried changing the email like Griever said and it won't let me do that either.

Guys, I had the same problem, it think its because of hotmail, i changed my email to gmail and made a gmail account and got the code within 2 seconds, problem solved.

Thanks, there quite clearly is an issue. I have passed the information along, although I suspect Valve are working on a fix as it is.

SteamGuard this does not work properly, it is easy to see the number of complaints, why not copy the google or facebook they have a check in two layers and works.

no im using gmail and i have been trying to get the steam guard and tried a bunch of stuff over the course of a month and i still have nothing, this is really frustrating and i hope steam can clean it's ♥♥♥♥ up

I'm going to necrobump this thread. Steam Guard is pissing me the hell off. It better TRULY be protecting me from some hacker because otherwise it's a waste of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time. I'm not getting emails for anything. I tried searching for trade confirmation emails and they didn't show up, so I finally got pissed enough to turn off trade confirmation and guess what... I NEED AN EMAIL TO CONFIRM THE I DON'T WANT TRADE CONFIRMATIONS. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Fix it, that is my demand as a customer. Fix it.
