In steam words, it is when someone steals your steam account.

What's hard to understand? Hijack = Steal

"Someone hijacked my Steam account"
"Someone stole my Steam account"

Shouldn't take much of a leap to understand that if "Hijacking" means "Stealing" then hijacking your Steam account means stealing your Steam account.

If you are asking about hijacking steam accounts i can tell you that it's illegal and it can result in a ban, also it's against steam TOS.

When someone gets your login details, then enters your Steam account and changes them so you can't enter anymore, then goes on to do whatever they want with it. (Which usually is trading all your inventory items out of your account, normally followed by crazy comments to all your friends and finally followed by joy gaming the hell out of your account using hacks all over the show, eventually resulting in a VAC ban on your account as well...) TL;DR - Someone having a helluva time with your account...

So phishing is a sort of hijacking?
TirithRR 27 ABR 2014 a las 12:42
Phishing is how they get the information required to hijack your account.

Phishing is when they steal your login details by fooling you into entering them into a fake website. After they have your details, then they hijack your account.

Fake websites are just one type of phishing. They could also impersonate admins and send you messages across various forms of communications, like email or facebook, asking you for personal information. Anything they can think of to throw out there as bait and hope suckers bite.

Any kind of fake form/questionaire/email/website that asks you for your login details is phishing.
