The ones that do usually have other non standard functions tied to the Function keys, ones to control features of your computer.
Press that "Fn" key once, you might see a light switch.
Now try to press F12 to take a screenshot.
Well, that only leaves you to setting another shortcut.
EDIT: OK, so I tried doing what you said, and while it didn't take a screenshot, it didn't adjust the brightness. So I think I'm on the right track, but I'm not sure.
It's VVVVVV. I don't think it has control options.
VVVVVV is a game. Set your controls in STEAM.
Yeah, the steam settings say that the screenshot button is F12. I could change it, but I don't want to put in a button where there is a in-game command, if that makes sense. However, the screenshot folder is filled with .vvvvvv files. Are those screenshots? Because if they were, I can't access them in Steam.
EDIT: Never mind, those are maps.
VVVVVV does not have Steam Overlay for some reason.
