Alright, I see the issue here. First, calm down (especially if you've spent money on TF2, you haven't lost it. Second, I have TF2 and the same issue happened to me, so I know how to get tf2 back.
First, you'll want to go to the steam store, then press play now (if you have it installed it should work, if not it'll start downloading for you.) While it's downloading, you should try putting it in a category in your library because that'll directly save it to that category to prevent this from happening (ie. . "Best games" or something like that). Also if you have the game and have an error while launching the game from steam's "Play Now" feature, then try uninstalling it directly from your computer (should be in "Uninstall or Modify Programs") and Steam will give you a prompt regarding if you would like to uninstall this game. Click yes then wait a couple seconds then press "Play Now" again. It should ask you if you want to install TF2, do all the necessary steps that you would usually do to download a game, then press Finish (shouldn't show it for you if you've previously pressed "Don't show again".) Then boom, you're all good, it should appear in your steam library then you should put it into a specialized category (creating one is simple, first, go to the right of the "Home" button, there should be a few squares on the other button, you want to click that. There will be a menu for categorized options. But don't make your category a Power Category or whatever they're called because that allows steam to have control over the category, then, once created, you can drag the TF2 game in and it'll save. If you ever have to repeat this, just come back to this post I created because it should work indefinitely. Also this works with any game if you find them missing from your Steam Library. Safe travels, and I'm happy to help.
