I just had 100 RUB deposited into my account, I don't use that currency and now I'm worried
How can someone put money into my Steam Wallet without knowing my account details, it wasn't much but I'm worried that now my account may be at risk as their payment details would be on this account.

Users can deposit money driectly into a Steam account in Russia if they use various cash kiosks.

If you got money into your account it is likely the user typed in your account name, rather than the person they wanted to give it to.

You may have heard rumors that Russians can lock your account by putting money in, then back charging the deposit. This is UNTRUE. The only known incident of this was confirmed to be human error with regards to the account lock.

If you are concerned, you should contact Support to remove the funds from your wallet.

tl;dr version

1) Your account has NOT been compromised
2) Your account will NOT be suspended
3) You should contact Support to remove the funds

Ah ok. I am apart of a group that deals in gifts, so its possible it could have just been something like that. But I'm not happy having money thats not mine in there. I have contacted support. Thanks so much for the reassurance though :)
