The speed of the downloads exceeds even my uTorrent, and thats something to say. So if you have a issue, it is inside your computer or your connection.
If all failes. Delete everything in your steam folder except for steam.exe and steamapps(folder) and launch steam. It should auto update and that might fix your problem.
Yes I agree for the most part but this computer is fine. There is something wrong with steam. Why is it I can download everything fine from all of my other programs and steam is the only thing that can't? That does not point to a computer problem that's a steam problem. Evo I have tried that already also thanks for trying.
This may not guarantee a fix, but it resolved mine with such a similar issue.
I am running the new 5G Internet, sadly I do not have Ethernet so I've been using one of those Netgear wireless USB sticks to connect to said internet. The download resumed and finished just after I unplugged it and re-plugged it back in.
So for those with the downloading issue, I would recommend restarting your PC, if that fails restart your router/internet.
I feel like it may be the internet at fault; I'm no technician but it could be something related to that.
Go to the steam settings, then downloads, and then "Clear download cache"
tell me if this works
