Artwork Showcase Not Displaying Gifs

this crap just started today. the Artwork Showcase on my page shows broken icons, but when i click on the link, it displays the Gifs just fine. is anyone else having this problem?

Finally! About damn time, maybe now people will stop uploading all those animated gifs from movies and anime in game hubs that have nothing to do with them at all.

That is why you can't have nice things people. Valve has hopefully done this to keep the artwork section to actual artwork relating to the games instead of random "funny" animated gifs that you like.

Now just make them stop animate everywhere.

@forcen, that's all well and good, but for those of us who follow the Steam rules, we do mind. i've said this time and time again. i paid a great deal of money for my showcases to work. and i want what i've paid for, and i want it to work. to keep order, people should flag those that misuse the showcases. that's what the flag button is for. and it's Steam's job to make sure that they follow up. i have a flagged a few that i've seen. and Steam does absolutely nothing about it. so if they don't want that kind of crap happening, they should pay more attention to what people upload to their servers. not my fault that SOME of us do the right thing, and others love to ruin it.

So all your art where animated gifs that related to the games hubs they where posted in? Maybe even your own creations and not stuff you found on the Internet? That is unlikely but possible I guess.

Yeah, might be a bummer to you but you knew that when you spent money on stuff like this that features might come and go. Cards might be worth more or less.

Also feels like 90% of all uploaded art is either animated gifs that should be videos from the game, stuff stolen from deviantart, screenshots or totally unrelated stuff. So you 10% might be bummed out, but it feels like either remove or rework the so called "art" section so that people get "art-banned" or something for weeks. Or maybe XP-penalties?

@forcen, i will repeat, i follow Steam rules. and yes, all my artwork (animated gifs) pertained to the games i have. including screenshots, and achievements. particularly RE4 and DMC games. i use my page to show off these games. i can place my profile public if u like so that u can see for urself. i love displaying the games that i play and show my progress thru my PAID showcases. if Steam knew that this would happen, then it was their duty to let us know the consequences of purchasing cards and such before we start buying anything from the Market Place. i never said that everyone does the right thing did I? did i dispute ur claims? no, i did not. and i don't think it's fair that u judge all of us for the bad things that others do. i am a lady. i would never display disgusting things on my page, or elsewhere for that matter.

As long as its related to the game the gif images are ok to stay. Worst case is we mark them as incompatible and only the uploader can see them on their profile, and yes it seems that the servers that host the artwork images is having issues still,i checked all yours to make sure and none of them were deleted. I was able to view them all so just wait it out with the rest of us and they will be fixed at some point.

@eram, thank u. i guess we have no other choice but to wait AGAIN for Steam to come up with a fix. it's no wonder that they don't have a phone number to reach them. instead, u have to create a "Ticket", which they may or may not answer. here we go again. >_<

It's obvious enough more than one person is having this problem and that they have actual game content being uploaded. The problem will be fixed. It's not too much to be worried about.

Also the problem doesn't center around .gifs, it's going for all filetypes.
