I also found out I only have 32mb of dedicated video memory I think.
But if Europa Universalis is a game you really want and the demo runs you should be able to play the full version.
Yeah, well I'm still considering it. I've spoken to a few other people and they've all said that if the demo runs, the full game should run too.
There could be problems even if it's the same code, though -- for example, your laptop might be handling the demo well, but might not do so well when the map gets larger and more units are on it etc.
I don't know anything about Europe Universalis, but bundlestars currently has the complete (at least that's what they say) EU 3... I have no idea whether these two are similar at all, but maybe an older version will do better on your computer...
