Got scammed?

So there's a guy that told me to give him a specific set of items and told me he would pay $20 for it. I asked him some questions on how it works and it seems legit. It's on Steam and he's a guy that I've played a couple of games with. So I kinda trusted him. I traded him the items, but I never got the $20. Oh well. It's not like I spent hard-earned cash on that or anything. I guess this is a lesson for me too but does anyone know if this guy can get reported and if Steam will give me my items back? I'm really bummed out because I spent money on those, or at least ban this guy and his possible linked accounts or something so he can never try to scam other people again. His name btw is Zuiro.

You can only trade items at the same time in the steam trade window. You must have clicked the window that says this is a gift i am getting no items in return.

You can report the user from his/her profile page but the items will not be returned.

Well some scams Steam can reverse. Some done outside Steam do damage that Steam can't really do anything about without costing them extra money at least. Also never repost links that you were scammed by except in support tickets otherwiise you may be labled a scammer and be responsible for those that click on said link.

No problem sorry it happened to you. I know it would suck to have that happen and then be held responsible for it happening to someone else even though that was not anything close to your intention. Did you report the person that scammed you or try to resolve it through Steam support?
