AMD catalyst control center will not detect my radeon card, HELP please
Ok, so i try to go into it. and it says, "There are no setting that can be configured with CCC" or something like that. the card is on, and working. I have re-installed the drivers many, MANY times. i would get the newest version, it would be weird, i'd roll back, it wouldent work, and now i just cant get into it at all. Help would be appreciated as my IntelHD4000 is well...and IntelHD4000, i think that there explains the problem...

What model of AMD graphics card do you have?

You will need to address that with AMD or your laptop manufacturer
Hello,

Judging by your description, your configuration is an intel based cpu combined with a Radeon HD GPU in your PCIE x16 slot, correct?

If your card is not detected, open device manager under control panel (assuming you have windows) and check your graphics adapters and if there are any uninstalled devices.

I was thinking of going to a local tech store, to sort out the issue. As i also cant access windows updates which wont auto detect or anything. As well as the flick to get intto the battery compartment is jammed...so yeah, time for a trip to the tech store me'thinks...
You don't need auto detect, in fact you shouldn't allow that because windows will install outdated drivers or incorrect drivers for your card. Head on over to AMD Driver Center and download your driver.

Well, old plan turned new. I have a new problem. I believe i fixed the card. As i uninstalled everything AMD from my laptop. And now have something called the AMD Gaming evolved app. Only some games can be optimised. and the option for switchable graphics, now does not appear when i right click, is this app the new catalyst control center?

No, you dont see. Theres another problem. I dont actually know how to set games to use the radeon card. Before i right clicked and had "graphics options" which was the intel card and "CCC" which was for catalyst. Now i only have the AMD gaming evolved app. Where half the games have "optimisations" and half dont. Does this mean all the games use the radeon or what?

Ignore the "Good" spam posts above. I don't use an AMD card, but it doesn't look like AMD Gaming Evolved is a replacement for CCC. By "Optimized", it means that the game's video settings have been automatically adjusted to suit your computer. You said you uninstalled everything AMD on your laptop, meaning Catalyst Control Center as well. Catalyst Control Center (CCC) is, quite simply, the control center for your GPU. It should allow you to change which program uses which GPU. Since you uninstalled it, you can't do that anymore, so you should probably go to the AMD site and reinstall it if you can. If a download is not there, then it should have came with updating your drivers.
