What issues?

Try a refresh instead:

I'm not sure if this effects steamguard/trading.

issues:
1.log in loads for 10 mins then fails saying my internet connection failed then i click the retry connection then it logs in normally. this didnt happen before I uninstalled then re-installed my steam
2.(not sure about wether this one is also related or not) my Dota 2 keeps causing my pc to crash then when i turn it on it beeps 4 times pauses then repeats 3 more sets of 4 beeps. then it starts up and says there was a thermal trip. but whats weird is that this only happens to dota 2 other games work perfectly fine and some of them are even laggier than dota 2

2. Sounds like a hardware problem. If you keep getting thermal trips, it implies that you've got insufficient cooling, possibly a fan is dead or dying. If your motherboard is beeping at you, that's a really bad sign.
Bad 💀 Motha 6 ABR 2014 a las 4:23
Yes, sounds like your CPU or GPU is getting way to hot.
I would address this before it leads to hardware failures.

If a thermal-trip is making the system auto-shutdown (which it does to help avoid hardware damages due to high temp threshold set by the motherboard) then u should at the very least let it remain off for a good 10mins and cool down before trying to power it back on again.

Monitor your temps in Windows.
Get better cooling for the system.

but how come it only affects one game?
aiusepsi 6 ABR 2014 a las 8:11
No idea, but it's not some sort of problem with Dota 2.

You ought to be able to use any component in your system at the level of performance it's rated for, for extended periods, without issue. What the heck is the point of buying an expensive component if you can only run it 50% or it'll get too hot?

for me, what's happening is that all of the solutions to my problem (originally just always offline, then after re-installing steam it was "Steam cant connect to the steam servers.")

I have tried:

1. Re-installing steam, then uninstalling it, restarting my computer and router, and installing it, doing that 3 more times
2. Using regedit to try to turn it into online mode so it can update (the "Offline" registry doesn't exist)
3. Redoing my router
4. Running as administrator
5. Deleting all .blob files (Ever since the first time I reinstalled, there weren't any)
6. went into the control panel and opened Administrative Tools>Services, right-clicked Steam Client Services, selected Properties, and to set it to automatic then reboot it. (There was no Steam Client Services in it)
7. Disabled firewall, restart, reinstalled it
8. Started SteamTmp.exe (Doesn't Exist Either)

I think the problem is that I installed steam on my friends computer and left it running, causing it to believe it was the only one on, not allowing me to connect. My friend is out of town though, so it might be a while.

I've got the same problem, and I'm about to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kill myself. It's been almost a month.

Why are people still talking here?
Steam never uses this file anymore.
