Steam tracking browser history
Is it true? read an article that steam is tracking your history (web browser). Saying that they do this to prevent hacking. I know this is getting more common but I've heard every damn excuse in the book for tracking, does not mean i agree with it. Actually i'll just stop here and see if it is in fact true. If it is, Steam is gone........

I wouldn't be surprised. Everywhere you go is tracked by multiple sources already.

Gabe assured the Reddit base this isn't true:

Even if you trust him, might be a good idea to have your computer stop storing the DNS cache and do your work/browing on a seperate machine if possible.

Thanks for that read, it was pretty interesting....... I don't know what to think or who to believe.

Every company and website online tracks what ever it can about you. Steam gets more from the info about what games you buy, browse, and play, than it would about what porn sites you visit.
