Compare that to the Minimum specs listed on the store page.
Maybe you should take your own advice. This thread is 4 years old and Tirith answer is from 2014 when it was 100% correct.
No post is ever futureproof.
That being said, I dislike 4 year old thread necroposters more. If people want answers to something that requires further knowledge on the game, they should post on the game's own forums and not on the general forums.
For example, I couldn't care less about DayZ and my answer would be more or less the same: do a comparison on your rig and the minimum requirements mentioned on the Steam Storefront. I'd never keep my OS with an obsolete version though.
Sure I get what you're after, but I'm saying that's what the gamehubs are for. You're not going to get super precise answers to game specific things here. Done bumping this myself, this didn't need a necro to begin with, and the whole "learn to read" just comes off both rude and ironic.
And I said this is why we post on game hubs.
My point is: TirithRR tells OP to do his own research by comparing. There's no point in spoonfeeding everyone the answer every single time or they'll ask the same question regarding every game. If OP wants to argue the system requirements mentioned, he'd go and ask on the gamehubs for the more precise answers.
Now stop necroposting, nobody cares at this point. I'm out.
And I never directly debated that. The whole "posts aren't futureproof" was based on a quick glance and was moreso a general statement, as even I get told I'm wrong about something years after something has already been changed.
Also, that's false. A ton of benchmark builds don't do any activations whatsoever and can update to the latest version fine nonetheless.
Don't speak crap you know nothing about. My previous Windows 7 was one of those disgenuine copies and ran Service Pack 1 just fine. Nowadays I have both my desktop and laptop use a legitimate copy of Windows 10.
