Card Declined when trying to buy a game
I have a 50 dollar AmEx prepaid card. I've been trying to buy games but there's always an error:

"Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company.

Note that in some cases, your credit card company may put a 'hold' on funds in your account, but you will not be charged. After correcting any errors in the information displayed below, please try your purchase again."

All the information I put in is correct (checked typing). Why does this keep happening?

VALVE JUST TAKE MY MONEY AND LET ME GET GAMES.

Are you positive it's an accepted card?

American Express. I also checked the balance and everything on the AmEx website. It's activated and has 50 dollars on it.

What country are you from? I've heard of issues about using certain cards from certain countries.

United States.

It's a pre-paid card? Have you registered an address and phone number with the card?

No. And yes, it's a prepaid card.

I have no clue then. You'll likely have to put in a Support ticket to get this fixed. Have you checked with your bank to make sure it's not a problem on their end?

You need to have an address and phone number registered for it to work.

Can I use a gift card or virtual card?

It is possible to order through Steam with a gift card from one of the credit card issuers listed above, however, the card needs to be one that can be used to make online purchases and we require that the address information and security code for the card be an exact match to the gift card or virtual card issuer's system.

We recommend that you inquire with the card issuer to ensure you can use the card to make online purchases and have the correct address and security code to complete the transaction. In some cases you can register your billing address through the gift card company's website.

Ah, that makes sense.

Valve should add that information to the store.

It's in the Steam Support database (I have updated my post above to include that info), but as far as I know it's not present on the purchase page itself.

How am I supposed to add information to the prepaid card?

That depends on the particular card in question. There should be a URL on the back of the card. Try looking there.

Check the card, there might be some kind of phone number or website printed on it.

On the back of the card is a website. You login there using the CC # and expiration date. After that, you register your name and address with the website. Then all doors will open for you.
