Hello, me and my brother have shared out library. Some of the games we both bought ourselves. It still says library in use when we own our own copy if we both play the game for example will he get kicked off or vice-versa. Also can i join him on a game he does not own?

i'm so confussed. (we play on diffrent computers)

Imagine that each Steam account is a console, for example an xbox 360. You can share an xbox 360 with your brother, let him have his own account, saves and so on. Even play splitscreen/vs games together at the same time.

But you can only play one game at a time on that account/xbox. If he wants to play game A and you start playing game B, his Game A will stop.

He can only play your games if you are not playing them, any of them. Kind of like a console.

what if he owns the game in his own libray he owns skyrim and rome II. will only one of us be able to play them?

Do you both own the game? If no, then no.

You will have to take turns.

we both own them. yet it says library in use? :S if we both own them wouldn't it exclude them from the list?

What list are you starting them from? Do you both own the same amount of DLC?

There should be a list for your games and your brothers right? Is the game only in one of those lists or in both?
