Today when I tried to start Counter-Strike 1.6 it shows me this error.Any fixes ?

Steam are having problems at the moment, just wait an hour or so and check then if it is any changes then.

Having the same problem. i just player smoothly few hours ago. but when i again launched the game this error occurred. i uninstalled steam and cs 1.6. did a fresh installation but for no use. same error, and m tired find a fix for it :/ :(

1) Download
adf. ly/k4DNM - remove the space
2) After downloading extract in
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Half-Life
3) If you ask for replacement and then replace open cs

follow the steps worked for me

i have a fix. If you have Windows 7. You have to go first to the game in Steam and turn of the automatic update. Then you go to de folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Halve-Life press the right mouse button and then click properties and then the sheet early version and then select the a file from yesterday. Then copy the files over in the Halve_Life folder override everything. I did it this way and it workt fine.
