Same goes for Max Payne. And soon GFWL will be discontinued in all games, so that's a relief.
Please try not to scare the community without actual facts, if its an issue your side perhaps its best to seek help or troubleshoot it, either with the community or with steam support.
Rockstar uses Social-Club and there is no way around it.
While it is true that GFWL will be shutting down in July, that does not mean all of the games currently still containing it will be working. Many of them will simply cease to function due to the GFWL requirement because the individual developers cannot, or will not remove the code. In a few cases it is simply because the development studio has shut down (THQ for example). In other cases, developers are finding ways to take the code out, and some are not planning to alter the games at all. I have a feeling it's going to be a major crapstorm of complaints in July when many people suddenly find their games unplayable.
