The CD key's problem

I bought a CD key of NBA 2K 14 last year and I used this CD key played long time. However last week I reinstall the system from window xp to windows 7, when I went to this game again, the 2k's system said my CD key had been used before. What should I do?

Ask for help in the NBA 2K14 discussions? Contact the company who made the game?

You used the CD key to tie the game to your account. You shouldn't need to use it again, just re-download the game from your library. View All Games, find NBA 2K14, and hit the Install Game button.

You should probaly ask steam support in email

Not necesserily true, the Borderlands 1 DLC codes can only be used 5 times and then no more, when Dead Space 2 in re-installed the CD Key won't work for Multiplayer anymore, only giving you access to Campaign.
