Deadpool the game removed?!
I looked all over the Steam store to finally get Deadpool, but I found out it was taken off the store by reading some of the posts about it here on the Steam community forums. Can anyone tell me a way of getting the game NOT through Steam because of this?

EDIT: As of a few months ago, Deadpool is back on Steam!

I doubt you can unless you cna find physical copies somewhere. Activision lost their licenses so they can't legally sell the game. Only the stuff 'in the wild' is available.

Do you think I can legally get it from someone on the internet? As-in on ebay or etsy?

You run the risk that entails. Is the key legit, is it region locked, will it even activate?

Consoles! BURN THE HERETIC!

Just kidding. That is also an option if you just want to play it. I'd assume anyone asking for the game on Steam must be some kind of 'collector' of sorts. I mean the game wasn't 'that' good.

Um, I'm a pc gamer largely, so I don't have a ps3 or 360. Plus I'm a soft-core microsoft fanboy, so ps3 would be ruled out anyway.

I'm actually not a collector, per say, I just thought it looked fun, plus I'm a huge comicbook (but mostly Marvel) fan, so that was also a factor.

you cant buy it anymore, because the developer don't have the licence to sell anymore, you can buy an used CD-ROM, for ps3 xbox or PC

It wouldn't suprise me if EA now has the rights to this game. They are probably taking them all off their competition's store and will more than likely be up on Origin in a few weeks.

I can confirm that if you purchase the retail PC copy of Deadpool it will still activate on Steam.

Where were they sold? Amazon and eBay never showed a trace of a retail version. I thought there wasn't one to begin with.

Maybe there wasn't then. I got a key on eBay which I assumed was taken from the retail box. Searching Google Images shows box art for the PC game but on closer inspection it appears to not be official.

Edit: Product keys will still activate on Steam, in that case.

there is 2 sellers on e bay with the game for steam keys but it is kind of expensive 43.00 and 41.00 ouch people are cashing in on it big time on them pulling it

Oh dear, should have saved mine and resold it!

Also, keep in mind that EBay is mostly a platform for frauds, so you may end up getting a key that has been used already.
