store.akamai.steampowered.com
Certain store pages have the word "akamai" in the title..
Is this some kind of phishing scam?!
I was looking this up for 30+ minutes, however, it seems many people have it like this, but aren't even looking for an answer as to why certain pages on steam are like this.

PS: The store page for a game randomly switches between the normal page and the one with the word akamai in it.

Thats totally fine.

I'm not so much into that stuff, but they have servers running and redirect traffic so that it's faster for the users.
If you want a more detailed info, check out their website or wikipedia.

Well this is exactly what I was talking about.

All of the answers are people saying akamai is safe, even though it might be someone copying the name to make it seem trustable.

All I want to know is if this is something you or someone else noticed on store pages.

Sorry if my question is stupid though, I just get paranoid easily.

Akamai is what is known as a CDN, Content Delivery Network. In fact they are one of, if not the biggest content delivery networks in the world.

This will just be Steam using Akamai to host their files and web resources rather than trying to have all their own servers, so it is really Steam/Valve but using Akamai's hosting service. In other words no need to worry
