I'm not so much into that stuff, but they have servers running and redirect traffic so that it's faster for the users.

All of the answers are people saying akamai is safe, even though it might be someone copying the name to make it seem trustable.
All I want to know is if this is something you or someone else noticed on store pages.
Sorry if my question is stupid though, I just get paranoid easily.
This will just be Steam using Akamai to host their files and web resources rather than trying to have all their own servers, so it is really Steam/Valve but using Akamai's hosting service. In other words no need to worry
