PC help. My screen now turns green after 5 minutes of gaming
Hello.

It appears my laptop is acting up. Lately, when I play games (Neverwinter mmo or Rift mmo for example) after about 5 minutes of playing the screen turns to like a static like green color. The game still plays fine but the image is messed up.

I did update my drivers recently and it seems like after doing the update this started happening. I tried rolling back the drivers but that didnt fix anything. I also went and downloaded an older driver from 2013 and that didn't fix it either.

I'm running out of ideas :/

I'm not very computer technical, but I'd say I know enough to get around.

My laptop is an ASUS G53SX. Here is a link to the specs http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/G53SX/#specifications

Anyone know what the problem may be, and how to fix it?

Thank you

How old is the laptop? Usually graphic distortion like that is sign of a problem with your video card. Overheating, possibly failing.

Check for dust in your vents and fans. Make sure everything is clean and air can flow.

I've also noticed that if I hold down the "print screen" key the green goes away and the image clears up...? so odd.
After 5 minutes? Likely overheating. This should help.
