dayz standalone

okay so i have brought dayz standalone but my internet is really slow and is downloading at around 200kbs, my friend that has the game put the files on my computer from a HD, so im asking how do i download dayz using those files and not my internet.

you may just have to download it from steam because steam may register it as not being downloaded thus meaning that you cant launch the game if the file that you had was from a freinds account on steam the game will say its not yours so just download it from steam i know it will take a while i have about the same speed internet as you and it took me about a day and a half to download hope this helps if you havnt already fixed the problem

Copy the 'DayZ' folder in steam/steamapps/common/ on your friends machine..

Then paste it to target machine (In this case : Your PC) inside the same directory.

If you're already downloading the game, stop by selecting 'delete local content', then paste the game in /common/..

Then select the game from library and click install > choose folder > Install

Steam should discover existing content and just download user specified downloads or updates.

btw uh I am kinda new to PC gaming and steam so I don't know where to go so if you don't mind helping out:
whenever I aim down the sights in Dayz Standalone with the M4 and then zoom in even further my scope does not fill the screen. ( I thought this was normal at first) then I saw some youtbe vids and all of their scopes (not sniper) filled the screen. How do I do that?
THis is really annoying becasue if someone is at a distance its pretty hard to see
