What is wrong with the Pause and Resume button???
When I was downloading TF2(Team Fortress 2), I paused the download for a minute so I could check something. When I paused the download, my completion bar was 70%. When I resumed the download, the completion bar automatically went back down to 0% and now the game is being downloaded all over again. Although the stated file size for download is 7.2GB, I had downloaded 5GB originally and now another 3GB, making my total amount of downlaoded material 8GB. What is wrong with Steam?(It has nothing to do with my Steam client being old, I only downloaded it a few weeks/days ago) Why does the download process always restart from 0 again every time????????????? Please help. Thanks!

The download restarted because TF2 got a patch while you paused the download. It's called tough luck. It happens with all games on steam. The source files changed. That's why you had to restart. When you download a game you always get the latest client.

It'd be even more annoying if your download resumed, and THEN, at the end, restarted a download for the latest patch.
At least, they're directly telling you NOW, so as to not make you lose more time than needed.
